“CRACK” OR “ROCK” Cocaine processed into tiny chips having the appearance of silvers of soap with the pure look of porcelain or small chunks of plaster. “Crack” also known as “rock” is a purer form of cocaine and is usually packaged in small vials. “Crack” is rapidly becoming the most popular form of cocaine. Since “crack” is solid in the processed form, it can be smoked in an ordinary pipe with no preparation. The name “Crack” is thought to be due to the crackling sound that is heard when chunks of freebase cocaine are smoked. The resulting “high” which lasts for 5-10 minutes, is the same as that derived from “freebase”.
Cocaine Liquid: Cocaine powder mixed with water is injected directly into the bloodstream. The strength and length of the high is the same as that achieved with “crack” and “freebase”. Injection is the least popular method of cocaine use.

This is an added danger because the user does not know the strength being supplied or ingredients added some of which could be poisonous and lethal. v Overdose can cause convulsions, respiratory paralysis or DEATH.

v Possibility of use of alcohol, Marijuana or depressant drugs to reduce “comedown” jitters.
Withdrawal
Symptoms occur when the usage of cocaine is stopped, but the effects are not easily determined visually as with other drugs. The most profound symptom is an intense craving for cocaine. If the craving is satisfied, the user has only delayed and intensified the inevitable symptoms of exhaustion, irritability, loss of energy and depression.

Cocaine is derived form Erthroxylon coca, a densely-leafed plant native to South America. It is widely cultivated in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, and Columbia, currently the source of some 80 percent of the world’s cocaine. Cocaine is the world’s most powerful naturally occurring stimulant. Crack is actually a less pure type of freebase cocaine. It has the super-strong, quick high of freebase cocaine without the explosiveness. In addition, a dose strong enough for a huge high can be sold very cheaply. Suddenly cocaine, which had been a rich person’s drug, became available to the poor. Here are some characteristics of cocaine hydrochloride, the powder form of the drug, and crack.
